Upcoming Events with Edward Sanders, author of Poems for New Orleans

Edward Sanders listened to Jack Kerouac read at the Gaslight Cafe, started Peace Eye Bookstore, a Beat hangout on the Lower East Side, and toured the United States and Europe with The Fugs. While the 1960s have come and gone, Sanders continues to remain in the counter-culture limelight, and he has lined up some interesting events this fall in support of his insightful new collection of poetry, Poems for New Orleans. If you live in the Tri-State Region or will be visiting the area, be sure to check these out:

October 4th, 2008 at the Zen Mountain Monastery, located in Mt. Tremper, New York. Sanders will read selections from Poems for New Orleans.

November 1st, 2008 at The Golden Notebook in Woodstock, NY. Sanders will sign copies of Poems for New Orleans.
